Love You, Momma

Mothers occupy a sacred place in both our hearts and God's divine design, serving as the unsung

heroes who hold families together through their prayers, sacrifices, and unwavering love. There's

something divinely wired into mothers that causes them to instinctively protect, pursue, care for, and cover their children - they sense when something is wrong before anyone else notices and begin praying immediately.

The Gospel of Luke provides a powerful illustration through Mary's experience when 12-year-old Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. Her anxious three-day search and subsequent response reveals the heart of every mother - sometimes not understanding God's assignment for their children but treasuring these moments in their hearts. This teaches us that mothers must sometimes pray not just for protection or success, but for understanding of what God is doing in their children's lives.

Scripture frequently uses maternal imagery to describe God's character, showing us that mothers

reflect divine love in tangible ways. God comforts us as a mother comforts her child, sings over us with joy, and provides the first glimpse many receive of unconditional love. Modern mothers wear countless roles - nurturers, leaders, counselors, teachers, supporters, and guides - often juggling multiple responsibilities in a single day. Their love makes them extraordinary because it embodies Christ's teaching about laying down one's life for others. Successful mothers aren't those who never struggle, but those who never give up despite the struggles, finding food when there's none, restoring utilities when they're cut off, and providing care when children are sick. We honor mothers by recognizing their sacrifices, prayers, patience, protection, encouragement, and strength, understanding that every whispered prayer and act of service shapes the future.
