Who Is This King of Glory

There is a significant difference between knowing about someone and truly knowing them. Many people carry facts about Jesus, but facts alone have never transformed a life. An entire generation has grown up with head knowledge of who Jesus is without ever developing a heart and Spirit knowledge of who He desires to be in their lives. Psalm 24 asks a question that is not merely theological but deeply personal: Who is this King of glory to you? Have you made room for Him, or are you still operating on someone else's revelation?

In Matthew 16, Jesus turned to His disciples and asked who they believed He was. Peter's response was not a recycled opinion from the culture around him. It was a personal revelation, and that distinction matters more than most people realize. Public opinion can draw you toward Jesus, but only revelation can get you right with Him. Paul understood this deeply, writing in Philippians 3:10 that his greatest aim was to know Christ, not simply to know about Him. Even the demons believe and tremble, yet many today carry knowledge of Jesus without any sense of awe or transformation. Knowledge that does not change how you live is not the kind of knowledge the Bible calls us to pursue.

Growing in your knowledge of Jesus is not passive. Seven practical pathways can help deepen that relationship: knowing Him by His names, by the works He has done, by the sacrifice He made, by the words He spoke, by the Spirit He sent, by the victory He won, and by the promises He has kept. Jesus is not hiding from you. He is continually revealing Himself. The question is whether you are making room for more of Him, moving beyond yesterday's revelation and stepping fully onto the field with the King of glory.
